I was pretty disappointed as my goal is to get a 1000 lb CFT. I might find an extra 10 lbs or so in the shoulder press, and up to 25-30 lbs more in the dead lift, but the back squat is really where I need to work to find that last 45 lbs. Continue reading

CrossFit Central WoD: Barbell Burpees and Sit Ups
Great workout. I was able to muscle up the cleans pretty easily for all thirty reps, and an easy push press had the bar over my head without ever straining. The metcon aspect of the WoD is what did me in. Continue reading

CrossFit Garage WoD: Push and Row
I was going to try to do the Crossfit Fittest Games Challenge WoD, which was 5 rounds of 400m run + 7x press (135 lbs). Really, I just wanted to see how I would have done on the 135 lb overhead presses, as I saw a lot of competitors really struggling with these at the CrossFit Fittest Games challenge a couple of weeks ago. Crossfit WoD: Shoulder Press and Row
The first two sets of shoulder presses I was able to knock out with no pauses or resting. Which was the key to finishing quickly, as most everybody else seemed to struggle with the shoulder presses and took a lot more time here. Continue reading
