MS 150 Day 2

Since Day 1 of the MS 150 was canceled, we only got to ride the Day 2 La Grange to Austin route. But that’s better than no ride at all.

Our small group decided to ride the Express Lunch Route, which turned out to be a 70.2 mile ride. And with the 15-18 mph constant headwind, it was a worthwhile challenge for the nearly $17 million raised for the Multiple Sclerosis society.

Kemo and I rode most of the route together…only really getting separated just after lunch for about 15 miles or so. We ended up finishing in 5:47.

Considering all the bike troubles Kemo had, I’m OK with that. Plus, we finished well ahead of the other riders in our group (Tres was just pulling into the final rest point 8.7 miles from the finish when we were crossing the finish line).

My goal is to continue with my bike training, as it’s really helping my knee.
